Piedmont CASA Volunteer Picnic 2021
On Tuesday, October 19, we held our first Volunteer Picnic in seven years. Seventy-seven CASA Volunteers registered and we had the beautiful Meriwether Springs Vineyard & Brewery completely to ourselves - so there was plenty of room for social distancing, both inside and outside.
Piedmont CASA President Kate Duvall and CASA Supervisor Sherri Rosser announced the Ruth Stone Advocates of the Year: Mary Nafpaktitis for 2020 and Grace Giras for 2021. Then there was a surprise award for our longest serving CASA Supervisor, Kati Naess.
It was a lovely autumnal evening - and we are already looking forward to next year!
