Service Areas

Piedmont CASA serves children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect and are in foster care in the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Madison in Central Virginia. Spanning approximately 2,370 square miles and serving a combined population of approximately 310,000 residents, our service area includes both urban and rural communities, each with unique needs and challenges. Through trained, court-appointed volunteers, Piedmont CASA advocates for children’s best interests, helping ensure they have the support and stability they need to thrive. A CASA Advocate may serve a child in a community other than the one where the Advocate lives, allowing volunteers to make a meaningful difference for children throughout our region.
